The cryptic, premonitory, bitter verses, filled with images that overwhelm with their beauty in Poet in New York, portray the essence of the poet, revealing the darkest and most personal Lorca. It is a scenic-expository project in which Federico, a puppet of himself, trapped and volatile, tries to escape from his own verses.
