PUPPETS AT THE APLEC

The company that won the 2025 Drac d’Or FECOLL Award will perform as part of the cultural programme of the 2026 Aplec del Caragol.

    Company: Campi Qui Pugui
    Performance: Camelva
    Audience: family

A group of eccentric fairground entertainers have set up the traditional camel race fair. The game and the race begin: camel, go!
Camelva is a street performance that will turn the square into a giant live game. The racers, mounted on their camels, take up their positions while the fairground entertainers choose the next participants from the audience.

PUPPETS ACROSS THE REGION

The Puppet Fair, in collaboration with the Diputació de Lleida (Institut d’Estudis Ilerdencs), brings a performance to Balaguer, extending its presence across the region through the Drac d’Or La Mercantil Award.

    Company: Jordi Bertran
    Performance: Point
    Audience: family
    Day: Sat. 2 May
    Venue: La Mercantil (Balaguer)
    Ticket sales: www.salamercantil.cat

In 1990, Bertran created Poemes Visuals with dots, lines and letters of the alphabet; thirty years later he returns to those original elements to create Point, a performance inhabited by highly theatrical, amusing and contradictory characters, full of tenderness and latent conflicts.

EXHIBITIONS

WIND AND SOUL – INSTALLATION
COMPANY: RAUXA
As part of the Fair, Wind and Soul – Installation is presented, a visual proposal by the company Rauxa that explores the language of object theatre through the movement of air and indirect manipulation.
Rauxa is a company closely linked to the Fair, where it has presented many of its performances over the years, becoming a familiar and respected presence for both audiences and sector professionals.
The installation highlights one of the company’s artistic lines of research, in which wind becomes a scenic element that animates objects and creates a poetic universe.

    Days and opening times:
Sat. 2 May, 10 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm
Sun. 3 May, 10 am to 2 pm
    Venue: Museu Morera
    Free admission

SCULPTURES AND PUPPETS
For the fifth consecutive year, the Fair, in collaboration with the Ondara School of Art and Design in Tàrrega, invites its students to help transform the foyer of Teatre Escorxador with a series of sculptures. These works will welcome all the artists, programmers, agents and audiences visiting Lleida during the Fair.
This project aims to showcase and support young artists and the Ondara School within the cultural universe of the Puppet Fair.

Dates: 30 April to 4 May
Opening times: regular theatre opening hours
    Venue: Teatre Escorxador. Foyer

PUPPETS & VINYL EXHIBITION
As part of the Fair, the Puppets & Vinyl exhibition brings together the worlds of puppetry and vinyl music through a selection of record covers in which puppets, shadows and stage objects take centre stage.
The collection, curated by Oriol Ferré, has previously been shown at the Puppet Fair. After touring a wide range of specialist festivals, it returns to Lleida with an expanded collection including new vinyl records.
It has recently been exhibited at the Casteliers Festival in Montreal (Quebec, Canada) and at the Titirimadroño Festival in Madrid, and will continue its international journey at the Golden Sparkle Festival in Serbia.

Dates: 1 April to 8 May
Opening times: regular Fecoll opening hours
    Venue: La Fecoll
    Free admission

40 YEARS OF THE CENTRE DE TITELLES DE LLEIDA
CELEBRATION EVENTS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE FAIR

In 2026, the Centre de Titelles de Lleida — the heart and driving force behind the Fira de Titelles — celebrates 40 years of dedication to puppetry. Four decades of creating performances, launching projects and sharing stories with thousands of spectators, turning the Fair into a living space for encounter, discovery and emotion.
To mark the occasion, the 37th Puppet Fair also becomes a celebration of the Centre de Titelles de Lleida itself, through three actions that reflect its essence: shared celebration, artistic creation and commitment to the region and its people.

CELEBRATION EVENT · 40TH ANNIVERSARY TOAST

After the Fair’s opening performance, La Llotja square will become a large meeting place open to everyone. Audiences, professionals and institutions will share a collective toast to celebrate the journey so far and give momentum to the years to come.
A festive moment to meet again and celebrate together that the Centre de Titelles de Lleida is turning 40... and is more alive than ever.

Day and time: Thu. 30 April, 9.30 pm
    Venue: Plaça La Llotja

NEW PERFORMANCE · BUFAIRONS
The Centre de Titelles returns to its origins in order to look towards the future. Bufairons revisits the title and imagery of its first performance and transforms them into a contemporary, poetic and visually captivating creation.
Puppets, music and projections shape a universe designed for the whole family, connecting memory and the present in a stage experience full of sensitivity.

Day and times: Sat. 2 May, 11 am, 12.45 pm and 5 pm
    Venue: CaixaForum Lleida

COMMUNITY ACTION · EN JAN TITELLA CANTATA
The celebration opens out to the city with a large collective action: one hundred children from the choirs of the Terres de Ponent will take to the stage to bring the En Jan Titella Cantata to life.
Within the framework of the 52nd Juguem Cantant, the Secretariat de Corals Infantils de Catalunya, together with the Ponent choirs, young music students, an actress and the puppets starring in the performance, will perform the songs of En Jan Titella and present an adaptation in cantata format, in which the leading role is taken, on this occasion, by the children’s voices.
A proposal inspired by the original performance, which for more than twenty years was staged at the Palau de la Música Catalana, bringing music closer to younger audiences.
A proposal that highlights the strength of shared culture, learning and participation.

Day and time: Sun. 26 April, 12.30 pm
    Venue: Auditori Enric Granados

With these three actions, the Centre de Titelles de Lleida not only celebrates 40 years of history, but also reaffirms its role as a company, a cultural driving force and a meeting place open to everyone.
A celebration to share, to experience and to keep moving forward together.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Fair to celebrate it with us.
