Uncle Pepe and Chochotte the clown are a couple of comedians who arrive at the town and set up their little circus tent, but all the artists in the company have disappeared. Her only attraction is a little elephant named Babar, who wants to be an artist, but is afraid of humans and doesn't want to go out on the circus ring. The pair of artists will have to improvise so that the performance continues and convince the elephant to perform his big show and thus earn some money to get food.
