The teacher is brave, skillful, and cheerful. She believes in the abilities of boys and girls, in those of everyone. The teacher and her small class have together built a beautiful school, a school in the forest with room for all animals. The most cherished word for our teacher is freedom, so she wants her class to grow freely. Unfortunately, the adults start a war that will force our protagonists to leave behind their dreamed school, a school built from love and mutual care. The story of La Maestra is a crazy and beautiful attempt to be free and happy. Through this story, the words of those brave teachers travel and whisper to us that the first condition to be free is to try.
