ACQUA ALTA – LA TRAVERSÉE DU MIROIR INSTALLATION
Enjoy this installation from April 24th to May 8th

The Fair in collaboration with the Centre D’art La Panera, present this interactive installation in the form of a pop-up book in augmented reality.

Looking through a tablet or smartphone, the ten double pages of the book become the setting for a short dance performance (thanks to a tailor-made augmented reality app). With simplicity in black and white stroke, the ink drawings and folded white paper come together to reveal the virtual life of miniature beings dancing in a world soaked in the imaginary of water. A crossroads between theater, dance, comics, animated film and video games.

Acqua Alta is a tale. A woman, a man, one house. The day to day, absurd and full of contradictions. However, on a rainy day, their lives take a turn: the rising water floods their home in an ocean of colours. The woman slips and disappears. Only her hair is left, and it is alive. It tells us the story of a unique and universal disaster. It tells us about loss and search, the fear of the strange and otherness, and how to master it.

Created by Adrien M & Claire B, Acqua Alta was born in January 2019.

This french Company, founded in 2011, creates forms of digital and performing arts forms that range from stage performances to installations. It is co-directed by Claire Bardainne and Adrien Mondot, whose proposal places human experience at the heart of technological issues, with a strong visual focus on the body and unique bespoke technologies. They try to create a living digital art: mobile, artisanal, ephemeral, and sensitive. Together they question movement and life in resonance with the digital and graphic arts.

The result is a poetic visual language that fuses the imaginary, real and virtual dimension while offering unlimited opportunities for artistic exploration.

EXHIBITION: PUPPETS OF THE WORLD
Enjoy this exhibition from March 24th to May 1st
Private collection of Galiot Teatre company

The Puppet Fair in collaboration with the Museum of Lleida, exhibits this collection to offer visitors the opportunity to travel around the world. A visual itinerary that becomes a journey through time and history through different parts of the planet and with which it becomes clear that puppetry is rooted everywhere and is a point of union between cultures. It is also an exhibition that aims to highlight the great artistic, social and heritage interest of this art.

Puppet theater is a transversal art, linked to the performing arts, that uses puppets, puppets or animated objects, which replace or complement the puppeteer, to tell stories.

Jordi Monserdà, founder of the Galiot Teatre company, began his love affair with puppetry in 1994 in a professional way, creating and producing shows. Recently, he has specialized in the production of participatory installations for all audiences, the backbone of which is the puppet and object theater. For a year now, he has been collecting puppets with artistic and historical value from different cultures and countries. It currently has more than 400 pieces and this exhibition.

The Puppet Fair welcomes you to this visual journey. Put all your senses into it. Only with them you can imagine how the puppets come to life and move, whose soul, without anyone manipulating them, falls asleep.
